Goals: |
Introducing students to the dynamics of the organization of eukaryotic cells, the basic principles of cell organization, the dynamics of the mutual relationship and structural and functional characteristics of cell organelles. Students will acquire basic knowledge of the diverse intracellular processes, the modes of cell-cell signaling and cell organization into tissues and organs. |
Outcome: |
Upon completing this course, a student should be able to describe structural components of cells and their function, to identify them in drawings and electron micrographs, to identify the types of tissue in histology slides and micrographs and to say what their function is. |
