Goals:

The main purpose of the study is to supply students with sufficient set of informations about logic and principles of bioindication and biomonitoring.

Outcome:

Predicted outcome of both lectures and laboratory work is deep understanding of complexity and conditionality of natural and man-caused processes in the environment.

Basic principles and definitions in bioindication and biomonitoring. Examples of connections between conditions present in environment and biota. Saprobic conditions.Microorganisms as bioindicatiors. Algae as bioindicators. Mosses as bioindicators. Lichens as bioindicators. Higher plants as bioindicators. Mollusks as bioindicators. Insects as bioindicators. Fish as bioindicators. Birds as bioindicators. Mammals as bioindicators.
